A Message From the Editor

I am pleased to put into your hands the very first issue of a brand new magazine that is intended to deal with the issues of interest in the world of medical devices. Whether you are a manufacturer, an end user, or someone else with a need or desire to know more about modern medical technology, this magazine is intended to be of value to you.International Medical Devices is designed to bring and keep you up to date on the many, fast-changing developments that are occurring on every front, the changes that can improve or even revolutionize medical care and capabilities. We will explore the latest manufacturing processes and diagnostic procedures, from water-jet assisted stent fabrication to spectral domain optical coherence tomography for biomedical imaging.

The magazine is neither a replacement for research journals nor a trade magazine. Contributions to this magazine are provided by experts in their fields but are written to allow ease of understanding. In addition to tutorials (“Back to Basics”) in diverse subject areas, we also provide news about current events, from people to products.
Above all, we are convinced that this new magazine addresses a need not currently being met. Quite honestly we are unaware of any other publication that provides the sort of information we believe you want. However, even our best intentions will miss their purpose unless this magazine has genuine value for you, the intended reader. So we invite you to read this issue from cover to cover, including even the articles you might not normally wish to study, and give us your objective feedback. Each issue will have a section called “Your Turn” that will provide us with the information we need to make this the magazine that you want. We want you to be the judge.

We encourage you to contact us directly or visit our website. Happy reading!
